All Miso Chic products incorporate vintage Japanese kimono fabrics. About half of the kimono fabrics used are taken from second-hand kimonos purchased in Japan; the other half are taken from vintage rolls purchased from Japanese kimono suppliers. Because kimono fabric designs are produced in limited quantities, you can be assured that your Miso product is special and limited.

Most of the fabrics used by Miso Chic were produced during the Showa period (1928 - 89), with some as early as the early 1900s and a few modern pieces. All obi fabrics are taken from damaged full-length obi or old stocks of obi fabric.
